Weekend Recap, 15lbs down!

I had a pretty fabulous weekend,

I hope you all did as well. My weekend consisted of participating in my Company’s annual Junior Achievement Bowl – a – Thon, and marathon movie watching. Saturday I woke up at 6am, I am finding that it is rare I sleep in on Saturday, due to all of the commitments I take up. Ah, the life of a responsible, active adult. The Bowl – A – Thon is an annual event that helps raise funds for Junior Achievement, a community outreach program, that teaches children how the economy, and community tie together. I have had the pleasure of working with them for 4 years now, and I was this years Team Captain. We raised $900 dollars plus for the program, and we had a blast bowling!  Here is a picture:

After all that good fun, I went home and watched a boat load of movies! My dog of course, I had to play fetch with him every now and then, but he was pretty much sleep the entire time. I posted a funny picture of him on IG too. I ended that day pretty much sleeping. Sunday, I went to the Dog Park and Gizmo got humped profusely by this male Poodle mix. He was so annoyed. I love the dog park, it is an excellent way to connect with other dog lovers. I enjoy it. I ended my day by watching True Blood, RHNJ, Ray Donovan, Newsroom, and Tia and Tamera. All good shows. Also! I have lost 15 lbs to date. Exciting. I am only 7lbs away from my goal weight! (175!!!) I am too excited. 175 is pretty skinny for a 6 foot woman. I can’t believe at the beginning of the year I was 2lbs away from 200! :-O Scary. Change has come and is here to stay!

Update to my Fitness progress

For this month, I am off of work on Thursdays and Fridays and it is cool, I prefer to have my weekends. I am finally going to try Almond Butter so, if any of you have a recipe that involves Almond Butter don’t be afraid to send it my way. I will also check out some recipes via Pinterest. My knee has been bothering me these past couple of days so I chose to do some low impact cardio by hopping on the Eliptical for 40 minutes with lots of resistance. I alternated in 2 minute intervals with resistance levels of 10 and 15. Let me tell you my glutes feel tight. I ended my workout session with an upper body circuit I introduced in my previous blog. I think I need to buy some gloves. Preferably Purple! I have a post for everyone, I have been putting in work on my tummy and it is looking better week by week. I have to watch my carbs, because I become bloated easily. Aging at it’s finest. Check me out!

Oh, and of course I need to end my post with my adorable dog Gizmo. Took him to the dog park and had him chase his frisbee until the end of time.
