Happy Sunday everyone!

 

I am officially on WordPress.org. I had a difficult time figuring out how to do it, it was fairly easy. I appreciate my hosting site BlueHost for helping me with a walk through on it. I recommend them highly. Now that we’ve gotten that out the way, I am going to meal prep for the week. I went shopping finally for my food and the HEB Plus has an excellent selection in food, and er uh wine samples. LOL.

I have prepared prepped and tried to learn as much as I could with the GMAT. I don’t feel that prepared for the math portion but I think I will do fine. I have had a lot of well wishes with it. All I need is a 480 on the test to continue in my graduate school endeavours. I have been so stressed I have not attempted to work out. ūüė¶ I know terrible. I have bought a Yoga Mat and I am practicing my handstand. It’s some serious work and you have to learn to trust yourself. I have to believe in my hips! So I need to work on my hip flexors. I hope to get it by the end of next month.

I went to the movies to see Superman on Friday and it was AWESOME! I also had my meal a la big purse:

Lovely things were in there. My friends Daiquiri. My patty melt and apple pie for my cheat day. Yum. Today I going to see World War Z. I cannot wait! Well happy Sunday!

Bicycle Chick

I’m a lady and a cyclist!

I rode around my neighborhood and it was a good one. My knees and lower quads got a good little workout thanks to my improperly inflated tires. I will get the hang of this biking stuff one day. I must say riding as the sun set is a beautiful scene . next time I will take a picture. I burned a good 311 calories despite what the app said I did. My Polar FT4 never fails me! So after my sweaty bike ride, I played fetch with man’s best friend Gizmo, packed my bags for an upcoming trip and spruced up my place. ¬†I am visiting family in Atlanta this weekend and my mother, and little sister will be accompanying me. My sister is all about Yoga and I will ask her to show me some moves for sure. Tonight, I will be watching the game and drinking water. I would prefer to ride my bike around my neighborhood quickly, but that will not work. On Instagram I follow a lady named @FollowtheLita and she is truly inspirational when it comes to fitness. She posted, yesterday, a at work workout regimen I think I will try when everyone leaves since I work a later shift this month.

See? She is an inspiration to all. She also shows that you will not look like a man if you work out intensely. She is the epitome of dope when it comes to fitness. I will be participating in something really cool at the end of this month and it involves food! I will be excited to reveal to you that I participated in something unique fun and encourages my creativity! Speaking of food, I also tried the Chobani key Lime flip cup.

SOOOOO Yummy I encourage everyone to try one. I think it is an awesome alternative even if it is 170 calorie snack. ¬†I know I am all over the place in today’s post and thank you for baring with me. My caffeine intake from my coffee has not leveled off. Everyone have a great day!

Pilates Thursdays

I have been staying strong with working out during  my lunch and it is a good thing. I would have never gotten the opportunity to take the classes offered.

I took a Power Class on Weds and let me tell you 440 calories later in 35 minutes I wanted my mama. The lady was tough and criticized my crunch, and push Рup forms. She was just what I needed. You cannot tell me that I cannot do something. Trust me I take this as a challenge. Instant competition with myself. That was the best workout I have had in awhile. I showed a lot of enthusiasm. My heart rate reached 186!!!

Today, I took a Pilates class for the first time and it rocked! I got to stretch, work on my flexibility and concentrate on my core. It was amazing. I need to do it more often. Just taking the deep breaths and focusing on particular poses really energized me and relieved some stress!  My knee has limited my flexibility on my right side and that used to be my most limber spot.  I think a combination of this class and maybe a yoga class might help me rehabilitate my knee. It no longer aches and I have more flexibility but I prefer for it to go back to the  flexibility it used to have.

Friday I am going ¬†back to Power Class lady’s class. To die. Well at least feel like it! LOL, and then, after work I am going to meet my sister to participate in an epic bike ride called critical mass. Every Friday at the end of the month, Hundreds of¬†Houstonians¬†come out to do what: Ride Bikes! It is different, it is cooky, and it is right up my alley when it comes to interesting fun. Well, I will blog about that when I have a moment!
