Happy Holidays!

Hope you all had a great start to the week,

I sort of did. This was my weekend with the little and I made the most of it. She goes with her dad for an extended period of time and I will miss her dearly. Last Friday, we had our Christmas/Mommy-daughter shoot! I like to send out personal holiday cards and I also needed to have some professional photos for this year, and my wonderful photographer, Jerren Willis came through! He always has done amazing work. He has taken my graduation photos, my family photos, my maternity photos, newborn photos, you name it! He is an on location photographer and is great to work with. My Holiday card’s are going to be poppin! I went for a lumberjack/chic look in these photos. I can’t tell you where I get my ideas from they just happen, and Pinterest also helps me pin things to my board that I am looking for. The matching Fringe boots are from Kohl’s. They had a massive sale a couple of weeks ago on boots and I cashed in! My boots are SO® Women’s Fringe Boots ($47.99)size 10 and London’s boots are Jumping Beans Girls’ Fringe Boots ($23.99) size 5 toddler. The black boots are from Target, who also had a massive sale on boots! Mine are Women’s Estelle Riding Boots – Merona™ size 10 ($22.35) and London’s are Toddler Girl’s Quilted Fashion Boots – Black size ($16.95) . Our shirts are from Walmart! Her’s was $5.00 size 12 month in boy, and mine was in the junior section for $10.00! We were definitely winning on this outfit!

I’m also back in the gym this week, well for life lol, because I no longer have the benefits of being a mom who breastfeeds. I breastfed for one full year and the benefits were, I could not keep any weight on! Now, however, the poundage is back and if I want to stay in the weight lane I am in, I will have to work for it. Plus you know the benefit of working out is energy and overall health longevity. So I’m back in the gym starting off with fasted cardio and weights. They have an amazing gym at my job, and awesome instructors. I can’t lose!

It’s Finally Here!

So,

 

I have slaved away, worked out relentlessly,  even on days I did not want to. Yesterday, I FINALLY saw some definition! It is beginning!!!  I have wondered if this day would come. I wondered, if all the clean eating, push ups, and circuits were all in vain. Well 6 weeks into a consistent workout regimen and a better diet ( I have cheated), it’s here! I know you are supposed to be patient, and I am working on that trait, but YES!

This just goes to show you even if you don’t see it, it pays off. Hard work gets the results, and someone can tell you that until you are blue in the face, but, until you physically start to see it, it is not a reality. I know I am not the only one out there who set a goal and thought they would be there a little quicker than they anticipated. Being tall makes it that much more difficult for me to shed pounds. Seriously. I can lose inches like no tomorrow, but pounds. Pshh. My body is against it. I am convinced! lol. So I hope this motivates someone to keep going, keep striving, keep pushing. It will show. It will manifest. I am a testimony! I will post pictures of my one ab later. LOL . (Really there’s just one). Right now I have a water baby (Stomach is full o water).

Oh. Side Note. I do not recommend drinking 2 protein shakes with in a 3 hour period. You will signal that your body just ate a very large meal, and whatever you ate previously will be on it’s way. Learn from my error. O_O (TMI but seriously! I wished someone would have warned me!)

 

British Military Fitness Challenge

This week Tribesports would like to challenge you British Military Style! So let’s get to work. The challenge involves a mini circuit that will work your legs, core, arms and glutes without the use of weights! I think it is an awesome workout and I will try it tonight. Weekend and such

I have started off my new year a-okay. I have pretty much booked some vacation with the girls at the beginning of March and in the Middle I plan to go to Italy! Milan for a fact! I guess I am really living up to the name jet-setter. I need to schedule in some “Me” time. I am a people pleaser by default. It is my nature, that sometimes I forget about me! Well I happened to remember myself this weekend, and I plan on just relaxing with My “Gee-boo” (Gizmo my dog) for a couple of hours. I know it does not sound like enough, but the way my schedule is set up, it is all I have. I plan on also using this fabulous gym in Katy as well as my Apartments gym, because I plan on remaining fit for 2013. Here are some of the recent items I purchased (DARN ONLINE SHOPPING!!)

My December

My December was fabulous!!! I went with 32 of my family and friends to the Dominican Republic. It was WONDERFUL. I mean it was beyond beautiful and it was the epitome of paradise. I went para-sailing, I went Kayaking  I danced bachata y meringue  took shots of ron! (rum) and enjoyed the Dominican cuisine. My Spanglish really helped me out. They thought I was Dominican and they refused to believe I had no Dominican descent in me. LOL Here are some pictures.
