Update to my Fitness progress

For this month, I am off of work on Thursdays and Fridays and it is cool, I prefer to have my weekends. I am finally going to try Almond Butter so, if any of you have a recipe that involves Almond Butter don’t be afraid to send it my way. I will also check out some recipes via Pinterest. My knee has been bothering me these past couple of days so I chose to do some low impact cardio by hopping on the Eliptical for 40 minutes with lots of resistance. I alternated in 2 minute intervals with resistance levels of 10 and 15. Let me tell you my glutes feel tight. I ended my workout session with an upper body circuit I introduced in my previous blog. I think I need to buy some gloves. Preferably Purple! I have a post for everyone, I have been putting in work on my tummy and it is looking better week by week. I have to watch my carbs, because I become bloated easily. Aging at it’s finest. Check me out!

Oh, and of course I need to end my post with my adorable dog Gizmo. Took him to the dog park and had him chase his frisbee until the end of time.

It’s been a while

It’s been a while since I’ve blogged. Sorry about that. Life has been a whirlwind. My shift at work has changed, I had that knee injury and ate horribly, and I went to NYC to celebrate my friends birthday, which was an absolute blast!!! We rode bulls, ate great food (which I wanted to be baptized in btw lol), partied, rode subways, danced in the streets, and froze!  I am hitting the gym up tonight or a fitness dvd whichever one I feel my heart desires. I am also doing a salad/ low carb challenge for the month. My diet will heavily be vegetable/ salad based. (YUM). I will of course put every grilled/baked protein known to man on  my salad/ vegetables. Along with protein shakes and proper exercise  I should be off to a good start on #TeamSummertimefine Here are some pictures from my recent trip.

Happy Birthday to one of my best friends!!!

This Weekend

So, I went from this:

to this!

Change is good. I have been natural for almost 2 years, but I decided the creamy crack was the best option going forward. It happens, okay! Now that I have that out the way I cooked Kabobs and drank a glass or two of wine.

I also  made one of my best meals yet, Chicken Marsala. It wasn’t even all that difficult! I went to see the movie Flight (a good movie about introspection btw) and spent some QT with mans best friend, my adorable Yorkie, Gizmo. What did you do this weekend? Any annual autumn events going on?
