Post Baby Body

I know that most women do not post their post baby bodies, but I will. Yes, I have stretchmarks and yes, my linea nigra still present (dark line down your belly you can get while pregnant), but I want to tell you, working out pre baby, and eating well, and breast feeding post baby really works. I could have really had an awesome post baby body, had I worked out during my pregnancy, but I did not. I am happy to say I lost all but 4lbs of my baby weight and my post baby body is leaner, my waist has shrunk tremendously.

Having a baby can be complicated,  especially when you are induced, and your epidural gives out during labor. Fun times. I commend any woman who had a natural delivery. It is NOT for the weary.  But the joy you recieve from bringing life in this world is something I just cannot put into words. My transition from a singular person to a woman with a child was seamless. I was “built for this” in the words of my child’s father. Here is my little bundle of joy, London Paige. WARNING! She is absolutely adorable! image image She is one month old as of recent and we are both learning the ins and outs of eachother and breast feeding.  It’s awesome to give your child nourishment and watch them grow. It’s something a bond that only me and my little one share. All smiles.

Almost Full Term

Hey there!

How is everybody? Me I am over here just counting down the little days I have left before I have a little one to care for. Honestly, I am terrified/excited/asking Jesus if I can do this. 10 little fingers and toes will be my responsibility. That’s a lot. I have had a few hiccups in my plan as far as having assistance from a few family members, and I will say, it was a very eye opening experience. People who I would not have even imagined to even be interested in my life, have offered me assistance in my transition from a singular individual to a mommy. I am forever grateful, and words, tears, and emotions cannot even describe how thankful I am for those people. 🙂 They get all of my smiley faces.

I had my 36 week Doctor appointment yesterday, and my cervix is closed and the baby is high up. Looks like she will take her time coming into this world, and I do not plan on rushing her (Unless medically necessary or at/past my due date). If I can avoid a c-section, I will. My doctor wanted me to induce and I was like no ma’am. She looked at me funny like are you sure, I was like I am positive. The more my little one can cook the better she will be health wise. No need to rush what my body is naturally programmed to do. I know there are some Moms out there who are pro induction, but this little lady, is not. I do not care how many stretch marks my belly button is getting. (Let’s pour a little bio oil out for my new stripes), haha.

In other adventures, I have been taking “usies” LOL  and trying to refrain from profane language to those inconsiderate people who park their cars extra close to your door. Try fitting a belly, 6ft of long legs and this booty all in my car from the passenger side. I am also amazed at the little movements my belly does. My baby likes to contort my stomach. I’ve had what looked like Camel humps,  little elbows, and cleavage LOL! Other than that My dog, Gizmo has no idea that his attention is about to be divided. I am sort of worried about how he will adjust, but I am sure my smart little Yorkie will get the hang of it once he gets over being jealous. I’ve secretly been tempted to put a onsie on him, but I have not. He is a boy and I do not need to exploit my poor doggie like that.

34 weeks Plus!

38 more days until I have a daughter!

Wow has time flown by. She has been the center of my universe and I am sure she will continue to be when she gets here. I almost have everything I need for her there are just a few things that I need to purchase and voila! Baby London will have everything she needs. I am also trying to prepare pre prepped meals so I will not have to worry about feeding myself. In the past month, I have had a Baby shower (Pics will be posted later), and a Maternity photoshoot! Here are some proofs

I also have had a few scares, as you progress into your 3rd trimester you spring leaks. I thought that I was leaking amniotic fluid at least 2 times. But I am fine at the nervous she’s almost here stage. My life has been no cake walk when it comes to stress and other personal life events, but I am handling it all as best as I can. I have learned you just have to learn what is really important and you cannot focus on what you cannot control. Just do your best and that will have to be good enough. My baby will also have several playmates, my cousin, brother, and a few friends are expecting babies!! This is an exciting time! I cannot wait to post about my baby’s arrival. Until then!

7 Months and updates

Hello world!

I have been here in the background following my blogger friends and what not but I have not been posting. I have good news, I am 28 weeks and 5 days pregnant (seven months) and I have 11 weeks more to go! I am in my 3rd trimester and  I cannot wait to meet my little one!

//instagram.com/p/oQqyUNPzoR/embed/

I passed my classes for Grad school and let me tell you my level of concentration was not all there. Like at all. I made it with B’s. I have been really putting my all into my baby shower and planning it has been no easy feat.( I have a checklist!)  I am also spending more time with family and friends and working on my long term relationships. I went this weekend with my oldest niece in tow to Schlitterbaun. Schlitterbaun is a waterpark close to San Antoinio that is arguably one of the biggest waterparks in the world.  Fun times my whole family came out for the event and we had a blast. My niece loved it they had so many areas for kids to play in and she took FULL advantage.  She got sick however and nursing a 5 year old while pregnant and exhausted is not easy. The next day I fell asleep everywhere!

This weekend I get to spend time with my youngest niece and she is a cutie! I am excited to get all of this family time because it really is showing my little family does bond. I love it!

23 Weeks…Time Flies

Time is flying,

As far as this pregnancy goes. I am almost in my 6th month (and according to some calendars I am in my 6th month).  One week away from it. So cool. According to everyone I am small, and my doctor thinks I need to slow down on my eating. I looked at myself and I see nothing but belly and boobs. I know myself, and I know my regular weight minus working out. It’s a little bigger, so I think she may be wrong but I am listening to her…sort of. I am not of an average size and I also don’t fit the standards when I gain muscle mass. But I have been active, walking, dancing, playing with my dog, ect. I’m not sitting around gaining weight. My butt would fall asleep!

As for school, I missed one whole entire discussion module(which is bad) but I passed all of my tests. Hopefully I do well in this last module. I would like to finish with a strong B in class and take a summer class. I want to finish by at least 2015. Pray for me!  Other than that I have been nesting and obsessing about my nursery and up and coming shower. Fun times. Here are some pics for your viewing pleasure.

Awesome Weekend Recap

What a weekend!

It was action packed. I;

  • Won a TV at work! O EM GEEEE!
  • Had my cousin come in from Chile (she is a flight attendant)
  • Organized the rest of my apartment
  • Got all angry pregnant lady on Pizza Hut for their poor customer service
  • Played with my dog
  • Got Pedi’s with my cousin
  • Ate at Joe’s
  • Went Grocery Shopping
  • Had my new mattress delivered ( I now sleep on clouds)
  • Went to the pool for a swim
  • Cooked dinner for my sister and cousin

It was pretty eventful! But fun. I moved to a new area of town recently and have yet to learn all the ins and outs of the area. Still I love the new pedi place, they serve alcoholic beverages. So trust me as soon as my daughter makes her appearance (Maybe a month or two after) I will have myself a tasty alcoholic beverage!

On Sunday the day was beautiful so my sister, cousin, Gizmo(my dog), and I went to the pool. Check out my mini photo shoot

So since I have had a growth spurt per say, my bikini tops no longer fit or should I say cover the bases. So Sports bra it is!  I even have a tough time with those, but hey! I will go swimsuit shopping soon (I will wear a bikini preggo and all). I cooked my famous stuffed shells for my sis and cousin, and they enjoyed it!  I am glad! I love cooking for people. Makes me feel domesticated! Ha!

This Monday I am getting back into the swing of things. I go from a later shift to an earlier shift and I now work the weekends this April. I did some finagling, and switched with a few co workers to volunteer for the MS150. I wish I could participate in the bike ride, but, hey, preggo power will support on the sidelines.  I also have to take 4 tests for school (thanks to my concentration issues/procastination) tonight by midnight. I have yet to take one test. Pray for me people!

In other pregnant news. I have never been so insecure about words/silly conversations in my life. Hormones are……irrational and at times so am I. My cousin decides to nickname me fatty and I know she means well, I know I am nowhere near fat, but my irrational mind really believes her, I had to stop her from saying it. I also got into a spat with a friend over the word MILF. As silly as that is, I wanted validation and I came to the conclusion that he does not think I am a MILF due to my pregnant status. It pissed me off, made me cry a little and then he got in his feelings and went for a verbal attack. I had to tell him I would talk to him later we both cannot be irrational and emotional. One of us has to be clear in life. I guess being pregnant and having friends who have never dealt with a pregnant woman do not understand things she will ask will be off the wall and matter no matter how silly Oh wells. One day when he has a wife, he will be like OHHHHH Light bulb!

Well I will keep you guys posted on my pregnant adventures! Bye!

//instagram.com/p/l8k_QIvzv1/embed/

This is basically the halfway point and I feel my baby move! At this particular week women go for what is called an anatomy scan to get the baby’s measurements and to see if they are growing adequately. My baby is on track and her legs and feet are long. Well, that is expected, being that I am a 6 footer and her Dad is just as tall as me. Every day her kicks are getting stronger and it is making me fall more and more in love with my baby. Busy Worker Bee

Has it been busy?

YES! I am excited to have energy to do a lot lately. I just literally finished moving into my new place, and I am in decorate mode. Anyone who knows me, knows I do not usually decorate anything, but My house is about to have an addition and I have officially begun to nest. I am also starting to work out the details of my baby shower and I am excited, and busy! School is also slightly demanding and I take naps in between writing papers and reading chapters. So between Registries, working out the logistics of the baby shower, studying, being a pet parent, trying to hang out with family and friends, I am BOOKED. Naps are essential at this point.

Up and coming this week is my 20 week ultrasound. I cannot believe I have been pregnant for almost 5 months. This is cray. I am beginning to feel normal and even forget I am pregnant sometimes and forget I cannot lift or bend over to get things with out my belly getting in the way. I’ve already taken a tumble or two. LOL I am naturally clumsy, so forgetting about the extra weight in the front of my body happens a lot. Just yesterday, I miscalculated sitting on the exercise ball and fell flat on my butt (Luckily there is a lot of cushion back there 😉 ) This confession is not to alarm you, but to let people know I am not made of glass or as fragile as my condition seems.  I can still do active things, take a small tumble on my butt and be okay. If my mother is reading this she is terrified for her grandchild. LOL tell her not to worry.

This weekend, me and my mom went to a family friends baby shower, we had a blast! It was fun and I enjoyed seeing one of my Childhood friends being celebrated. I think I am beginning to get a tad bit sentimental. I will be running a 5k at the beginning of the month and volunteering at the MS150. Excited!!!!! So I am trying to do this all at the same time. I like to stay busy. Life is cooler that way. Until next time! IMG_3095[1]

Bump Reveal

Today,

I revealed my bump! How exciting. Well at 1st there was not really a bump, it just appeared that I:

A) Did not Miss any meals

or

B) Had the best beer belly a woman could ever have

LOL Now that it look like I am not just gaining weight, I wore some maternity clothes to work, and PA-YOW, this baby is making her presence known! I am 18 weeks +5 days and will be going to the doctor tomorrow for a regular routine check up :-). Check out my mini photo shoot courtesy of my  iPhone and the work bathroom mirror!

OH WOW!

OH WOW!

Wow.. I have to lay off the Thin Mints

Ignore the toilet!

Maybe she will wear glasses too

Maybe she will wear glasses too

(Outfit all purchased at Old Navy)

I might have had too much fun. For some time there, I was not feeling like any pictures were worth taking. Usually I am the pic-o-matic, but that changed to ambiguous pic- o-matic. So bear with me and my moodiness. I had an awesome lunch with an old co-worker friend and she got me my very 1st baby gift! THANKS HOOONEEEY! I really appreciate her a whole lot. It goes so far with me 🙂

IMG_3076[1]

So this whole thing is scary to me right, but a lot of Frozen yogurt and sour worms help me keep going (Seriously that stuff is heaven in my eyes at the moment) I am suspicious of a stretch mark, and I am violently rubbing bio oil all over my stomach, sides, boobs, you name it, if it looks like it will get a stretch mark, I’m oiling that puppy down. If and when I get stretch marks, I will make sure to invest in sun tan lotion. Stretch marks will not hold me back from my bikini dreams LOL.  I am also starting to feel movement. Yes, it is a lot less scary than I thought it would be. It feels almost like I might have rode a roller coaster type feeling you get, and also I feel more of a drum type feel. That’s what Flutters mean to me. It is really cool. Very exciting actually. Never thought I would get so very into this pregnancy, but I am actually having an okay experience. Sure, I am tired, slightly lazy, nauseated and feel like a rolley polley when I try to get out of bed, but it is not bad at all. I am here to tell you, it’s pretty enjoyable. Until next time!

Facebook Announcement

Hello!

I finally announced my pregnancy to my main social sites, Facebook and Instagram. It was not a secret, but I wanted to be very cute with my announcement. I wanted to incorporate my dog, since I treat him like my child and so I went and looked up pregnancy announcements. Here is the end result!

Retouched

Pretty cute huh! Hope my re-sizing is not too small but it was huge at the start. I took a picture with my Nikon J1 and it turned out great. I am now 17 weeks along and I am interested in feeling my baby move. I feel like I might have felt her move, but I cannot be too sure. I am sure that it will happen soon. Most 1st time mothers do not feel anything until 20 weeks or so.

School has been kicking my assets, and I find that concentrating on things is hard for me lately. I hear it is associated with being pregnant. Sucks, because I am the sharpest person to most people, and I have become extremely forgetful! I made an 85 on my midterm, and I am very satisfied with that being that I read 4 of the 8 chapters a couple of days before the midterm. I definitely should not let that happen again. EVER.

I have decided to wait on purchasing a home for now, and decided to continue to rent an apartment. Having a baby and a House note on my one person income may be too much for me. So once I get a decent raise, or promotion and adjust to life with a small baby, then I will start the exciting journey again. I move in a few weeks.

In workout news, I have not been motivated, I just have not done it. Period. I am however active, when it comes to work and when I am out, I am just not working out. When I move I will use our amazing apartment gym and take walks around our community. It will be good for the baby and me. I will also do some of these stretches I found on pinterest. So expect some bump pictures soon, I have honestly not been in a picture friendly mood. So I will get it together.
