What is #garagefit?
Well a trainer I met last month that participated in Critical Mass has a gym in his garage simple. You go, you run you lift you do rope thrusts, squats, all in the garage and heat. Sounds effective. Well it is, I will be going back. I did not take into account that I was out of shape sort of being that I did not workout for the past two weeks because of studying. I also did not take into account that the heat and the intensity of my workout almost made me loose the tamales I hurriedly scarfed down earlier that day. I did not eat properly, so I started to feel queasy and dizzy. So I could not go as hard as I wanted to but it was amazing! I had fun and I will take pictures next time. Here is me after the workout and some sugar cookies to make me feel better. All in all I burned 546 calories in 46 minutes!
I had to workout in this gear and to me this is a tad bit sexay! I like it 🙂 My workout clothes never look sexy, ever. So this even surprised me that I was wearing, dare I say it?! BOOTY SHORTS. (these are totally appropriate, but I like to think that these are booty shorts). When I showed up to #garagefit there were a few guys there and they all stopped talking. I guess I should take that as they thought I looked awesome. Being super self conscious, that was a bit uncomfortable. But, I have to build confidence somewhere! I had to put it in perspective. I am down 12lbs, and 10lbs away from my goal weight. So I better WERK those booty shorts! *dances and emphasizes!* 🙂
