My name is Sharde, and I am a food-aholic!

 

Yes I am! I joined Foodie Pen Pals via the Lean Green bean blog! It’s a food exchange program that connects you with people and other foodie fanatics across the US! Canadians and overseas Foodies are also welcomed here as well! The deadline to join is to go to the website and submit an interest form and the blod admin will be in contact with you via e-mail!

I am so excited to reveal to you all what I got from my Foodie Pen Pal. I had my own foodie pen pal and I sent her some of my favorite things:

How to get Obstacle Strength Ready!

 

Anyone doing a rough and rugged obstacle course this summer?

Well if you are, this post is for you. All my Spartan, Tough Mudder, Mud Run racers get pumped! If you are looking for a form of training, and it takes training for these events, trust me, you can find it here. You need lots of strength and endurance when tackling these events and this circuit Tribesports has put together, will get you pumped and fit for winning a rugged and rough medal! Our goal is to get you across the finish line and give you the confidence you need to accomplish your obstacle tasks!  You have an A and B superset and you have to push through! So take the challenge one or more times and get pumped!!!! You can find the challenge here. If you take it let me know how you do! I would love to hear feedback!

Gratitude Journal

 

It’s easy to focus on all the hassles in life,

Terribly easy right? You can fall into a negative zone and find your self in negative purgatory at times. Well, I was reading Project light to  life’s latest entry and she mentioned starting a gratitude journal. What is a gratitude journal? It is a journal you keep (Word, One Note, pen and paper) where you right about the positive things that happened in your day. I hear it can boost your mood, and help you get back to the positive zone you once were at. Hey we all need a mood boost here and there, and I know I could sure use one. So I am going to keep one on my wordpad and write about the positive things I can take away from my day. I will let you guys know in seven days how I am doing.

 

So like Oprah says on the sticky up top I am going to write 5 things that went good in my day. Join me if you want and feel free to let me know if it boosts your mood!

Mondays

Monday’s ah the start of the work week. Today I tried a packet of stevia in my coffee for the 1st time. I must say, there wasn’t much of a difference and for zero calories I’m pretty sold on it. Has anyone tried the Columbian roast k cups made by Gevalia? It’s amazing.

This morning, I cooked myself bacon, egg, and cheddar on an English muffin. Yum. As I was walking into work someone said they noticed my physical changes thanks to my workout efforts and that they can really see that it is paying Off! Wow thats great news and very encouraging. They even wanted me to help them get their fitness on track Hope everyone is having an amazing day!

Happy Sunday everyone!

 

I am officially on WordPress.org. I had a difficult time figuring out how to do it, it was fairly easy. I appreciate my hosting site BlueHost for helping me with a walk through on it. I recommend them highly. Now that we’ve gotten that out the way, I am going to meal prep for the week. I went shopping finally for my food and the HEB Plus has an excellent selection in food, and er uh wine samples. LOL.

I have prepared prepped and tried to learn as much as I could with the GMAT. I don’t feel that prepared for the math portion but I think I will do fine. I have had a lot of well wishes with it. All I need is a 480 on the test to continue in my graduate school endeavours. I have been so stressed I have not attempted to work out. 😦 I know terrible. I have bought a Yoga Mat and I am practicing my handstand. It’s some serious work and you have to learn to trust yourself. I have to believe in my hips! So I need to work on my hip flexors. I hope to get it by the end of next month.

I went to the movies to see Superman on Friday and it was AWESOME! I also had my meal a la big purse:

Lovely things were in there. My friends Daiquiri. My patty melt and apple pie for my cheat day. Yum. Today I going to see World War Z. I cannot wait! Well happy Sunday!

Hey guys,

 

I am back to my normal shuffle of things, Work, dog, school, ect and  I am refreshed from my trip(Atlanta). My mother is the most hilarious air passenger in life. Her luggage was a duffle bag of some sort and a huge cooler (IDK why either) and she over packed so it kept falling. She got patted down by TSA because she forgot to take out her loose change in her pockets after bragging to me that she has flown for years and I should follow her lead, and when the plane takes off and lands she cannot be spoken to, nor touched because she has to concentrate on not peeing on herself. Me and my sister were in tears. I must travel with her a lot more, she is an absolute joy. I am  in current talks of another trip to Vegas, Detroit and Atlanta. Yeah, I am ambitious, but I have a free flight thanks to my travels this year and some vacation time to burn. I also possibly plan on driving to Detroit possibly since it is the only way to afford the trip. Right now tickets are in the 400-500 dollar range and that is not the range I am willing to pay for Detroit. Nope.

Tonight, will go for a joy ride on my bike tonight catch up on my GMAT studies (My test is in 2 weeks! AHHH) and cook. Things always seem to workout, sleep might not be an option. I can also opt to ride my bike early morning. I might do that. Anywho, I recently switched my blog to wordpress.org and boy am I EVER confused. If there is anyone out there that can help me, Lord Jesus, please help me. I think I did it correctly, however, due to the filters at work I am unable to view my webpage to see if it was successful. Let us pray it is.

Hello everyone from ATL!

I’m having a blast here I have been here since Thursday visiting family. They have laid out the red carpet! We have had a get together, dancing, eating, drinking, laughs and there is still more to go!

My cousin is turning 60 and she is having a 3 day party get together. Last light was the kickoff at her house, tonight is the big get together and tomorrow is the Sunday backyard BBQ. When my family parties they party! Today I am visiting my dads stepson from his 1st marriage. It’s nice to see what people From my dads former life prior to his marriage to my mom and having us kids. My sister will be joining us today. Yay! She decided to fly a few days later. Well here are some pics

I rode around my neighborhood and it was a good one. My knees and lower quads got a good little workout thanks to my improperly inflated tires. I will get the hang of this biking stuff one day. I must say riding as the sun set is a beautiful scene . next time I will take a picture. I burned a good 311 calories despite what the app said I did. My Polar FT4 never fails me! So after my sweaty bike ride, I played fetch with man’s best friend Gizmo, packed my bags for an upcoming trip and spruced up my place.  I am visiting family in Atlanta this weekend and my mother, and little sister will be accompanying me. My sister is all about Yoga and I will ask her to show me some moves for sure. Tonight, I will be watching the game and drinking water. I would prefer to ride my bike around my neighborhood quickly, but that will not work. On Instagram I follow a lady named @FollowtheLita and she is truly inspirational when it comes to fitness. She posted, yesterday, a at work workout regimen I think I will try when everyone leaves since I work a later shift this month.

See? She is an inspiration to all. She also shows that you will not look like a man if you work out intensely. She is the epitome of dope when it comes to fitness. I will be participating in something really cool at the end of this month and it involves food! I will be excited to reveal to you that I participated in something unique fun and encourages my creativity! Speaking of food, I also tried the Chobani key Lime flip cup.

SOOOOO Yummy I encourage everyone to try one. I think it is an awesome alternative even if it is 170 calorie snack.  I know I am all over the place in today’s post and thank you for baring with me. My caffeine intake from my coffee has not leveled off. Everyone have a great day!
